Zakka Embroidered Napkins

Zakka is a Japanese word that means “taking delight in everyday things.” It can include combining Japanese style with Scandinavian design and embellishing everyday items, such as shirts, baby booties, or, in this case, napkins.

Weave Structure: plain weave with embroidery

Yarns: 8/4 Rug Warp

Equipment needed: Rigid Heddle Loom; 13” weaving width; 12 dent reed; 1 shuttle; tapestry needle

Finished Dimensions:  four napkins, 11" × 11" each
