Farmhouse Modern Towels

This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Farmhouse Modern Towels that were designed by Michele Marshall of Mingo's Corner Shop.

The Farmhouse Modern Towels highlight a luscious blended yarn - Cobali - alongside Aurora Earth 8/2 cotton.

The plaid is slightly asymmetrical using modern colors for a crisp spring look in your kitchen, whatever your style.

The pattern was written for rigid heddle weavers who enjoy plain weave and are ready to try working with two different yarns in one design. This project is a joy to weave for those of any skill level.

Weave structure: plain weave with color and weave

Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons (100% cotton) and Cobali (40% Cotton, 35% Bamboo, 25% Linen).

Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 24" weaving width; 10 dent reed; 3 stick shuttles. 

Finished size:  two towels, 19" x 30” hemmed.

Instructions needed: Farmhouse Modern Towel Pattern from Mingo's Corner Shop on Etsy. The instructions include two methods of warping, a clear warp order chart to get the base stripes of your plaid easily established, plus a video link demonstrating both how to start and end weft color changes and how to carry weft colors up the side of the warp.
